Secrets AI
Solid memory, consistent personality, fair pricing. The voice quality is rougher than the chat. Best in class for conversation.

I haven’t paid for a Pro tier here yet — this review is synthesized from extensive reading across Reddit, app store reviews, and half a dozen third-party review sites. I’m flagging that upfront because it changes what I can and can’t say with confidence.
What actually works
The memory. This is the thing that companion platforms consistently get wrong, and Secrets AI gets it noticeably more right than the competition I’ve read about. According to multiple independent reviews I read, conversations from previous sessions carry through. You mention something in week one; the character references it in week three. That’s not magic — it’s basic — but it’s apparently rare enough that it’s the thing users call out first.
Character consistency is the other one. The system appears to enforce the character you build more aggressively than competitors. Users report fewer “breaking character” moments, fewer jarring tonal shifts mid-conversation. Whether this holds at scale I can’t say, but the pattern across reviews is consistent enough to report.
The pricing situation
At $12/month for the base paid tier, this is competitive. The free tier exists but is limited — 20 messages a day puts you in “demo mode” rather than “actual product” territory. The paid tier is where the product lives. For comparison, the average companion platform in this category runs $14–20/month, so Secrets AI is at the lower end.
I’m calling this “high confidence” on pricing because the $12 figure shows up consistently across multiple review sources and the platform’s own marketing materials are clear about it.
On privacy
Their Terms of Service are what you’d expect from a cloud-based AI platform: conversations are logged, data may be used to improve the model. There’s no zero-log policy here. If you want a companion platform that doesn’t retain your chat history, this isn’t it — but to be fair, almost none of them are. I audited the ToS on April 14th. No red flags beyond the expected logging disclosure.
I’m flagging data logging as “medium confidence” because ToS language in this space has a habit of changing quietly. Verify if this matters to you.
Where it falls short
Voice quality. By most accounts, the voice feature exists and works, but it’s noticeably lower quality than the chat. The synthesis sounds more mechanical, the emotional range is narrower. For users who came specifically for the voice experience, this is a meaningful limitation.
Response speed on the free tier is also reportedly throttled during peak hours. If you’re evaluating on the free tier, test at different times of day before deciding.
The verdict
Four bananas. This is the strongest companion platform I’ve reviewed at this price point. The memory implementation alone separates it from most of the competition. The voice limitation keeps it from five. If they improve the voice layer, this is a five-banana product.
