We haven’t paid for a Pro tier yet — this review is synthesized from extensive reading across community forums, app store reviews, and half a dozen third-party review sites. We’re flagging that upfront because it changes what we can and can’t say with confidence.
What actually works
The memory. This is the thing that AI girlfriend platforms consistently get wrong, and Secrets AI gets it noticeably more right than the competition we’ve read about. According to multiple independent reviews we’ve read, conversations from previous sessions carry through — though some users report occasional gaps or repeated phrases. You mention something in week one; the character references it in week three. That’s not magic — it’s basic — but it’s apparently rare enough that it’s the thing users call out first.
Character consistency is the other one. The system appears to enforce the character you build more aggressively than competitors. Users report fewer “breaking character” moments, fewer jarring tonal shifts mid-conversation. Whether this holds at scale we can’t say, but the pattern across reviews is consistent enough to report.
The pricing situation
Pricing runs on two tracks. Monthly billing puts the Premium tier at $19.99/month — which sits squarely in the mid-range for this category. Commit to annual billing and the same tier drops to $9.17/month, making it one of the more competitive options we’ve priced. The Ultimate tier (which adds group chats, advanced customization, and larger Moments allocations) runs $39.99/month or $26.67/month billed annually.
A free tier exists but its limits aren’t published anywhere on the public site. Treat it as a test drive, not a usable product tier.
All pricing verified directly from the live Secrets AI store on 2026-05-17.
On privacy
Their Terms of Service are what you’d expect from a cloud-based AI platform: conversations are logged, data may be used to improve the model. There’s no zero-log policy here. If you want a companion platform that doesn’t retain your chat history, this isn’t it — but to be fair, almost none of them are. We audited the ToS on May 17, 2026 (last updated April 10, 2026). No red flags beyond the expected logging disclosure.
One notable detail: voice call audio is immediately and permanently deleted after transcription — only the text transcript is retained. That’s meaningfully better than the generic “logs everything” standard most platforms apply to audio.
We’re flagging data logging as “medium confidence” because ToS language in this space has a habit of changing quietly. Verify if this matters to you.
Where it falls short
The Moments economy. Voice calls consume 100 Moments per minute; video generation burns 600 per clip. On the Premium plan (8,000 Moments monthly), a single hour of voice calls eats three-quarters of your monthly credit. For moderate users the allocation holds fine — but if voice or video is your main mode, budget for top-ups or the Ultimate tier.
Character roster diversity is also limited. The catalogue skews heavily toward one body type and ethnicity. There are alternatives among the hundreds of options, but they’re sparse enough to notice. Custom character creation costs 1,000 Moments per character beyond the first free one.
Response speed on the free tier is also reportedly throttled during peak hours. If you’re evaluating on the free tier, test at different times of day before deciding.
The verdict
Four bananas. This is one of the stronger AI girlfriend platforms we’ve reviewed at this price point. The memory implementation and character consistency separate it from most of the competition. The Moments economy is the main friction point — heavy voice and video users will hit the ceiling. At $9.17/month on annual billing, it earns its rating.
